About
By Whom, and Why, was STOSS Books Formed

STOSS Books was started by author, Stephen Michael Leininger. Through many years of research leading to the formulation of the Theology of Salt (dust, light, and water too), he realized he was barely scratching of what could be learned through this theology. He estimates there are at least ten different Theology of Salt-related topics warranting an entire book devoted to its exploration. He also realized that, in addition to the Theology of Salt (TOS), the hermeneutic used for the exegetical efforts to explore the deeper levels of meaning contained in Scripture should be given a name. The name chosen was The Science & Theology of Salt in Scripture (STOSS).
Leininger took to heart the invitation Pope John Paul II (the great) extended to others. An invitation to take up where he was leaving off. He knew there was so much more that could be uncovered and written about in the context of the Theology of the Body. Leininger believes the Theology of the Salt can accurately be characterized as a branch of the Theology of the Body, especially in relation to the nuptial (covenantal) meaning of the body—expressed in the Language of the Body.
As a result, Leininger decided to start STOSS Books as a means to further explore the great depths of understanding that could be uncovered by the further study of salt, water, dust, light, and stone in the Bible. His intention and desire is to encourage others to join in the effort to uncover the treasure-trove of knowledge hidden within Scripture. As knowledge of TOS grows, the intention is to invite guest writers to help achieve that goal.
